چکیده

Introduction Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a multifactor chronic inflammatory joints disease that is characterized by long progressive course leading to development of contractures and loss of joint ́s function. Currently, there are only several laboratory and radiological predictors of unfavorable prognosis of JIA. In recent years, scientists studied the molecular basis of the development and maintenance of chronic inflammation in the joint. Reduced sensitivity of cells to apoptosis is one the possible mechanisms contribution to progressive inflammation in synovial membrane. Polymorphisms Arg72Pro 4 exon, ins/del 16bp intron 3 and G13964C intron 6 gene P53 may change expression gene P53 and functional activity this protein, main factor of intrinsic apoptosis pathway (P.Dumont et al 2003; A.Sallivan et al, A.Ghosh et al 2004).

R202Q Mutation of Mediterranean Fever Gene in Iranian patients with Systemic-onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Background: Systemic-onset Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (SoJIA) is an autoinflammatory disease with complex genetic trait starts in children less than 16 years of age with fever and cutaneous rash. Despite, the main genetic factors that may play a role in SoJIA have not yet been identified. High level of interleukin-1beta in the blood of SoJIA patients has been reported. The production and sec...

New p53 Gene Mutation in non-Cancerous Mustard Gas Exposed Lung

Objective Mustard gas (MG) is a poisoning chemical, mutagenic and carcinogenic alkylating agent. It is used during World War I and also Iran-Iraq conflict. The p53 tumor suppressor gene is involved in the pathogenesis of malignant disease. The aim of this study is to determine possible mutation in p53 gene of lung sample from mustard gas exposed patients. Material and Methods Twelve lung bio...

Analysis of Exon 19 and 39 of ATM Gene in Brain Tumors; Considering the P53 Accumulation

Many studies have been focused on cytogenetic and molecular genetic defects in brain tumors; therefore the role of ATM as a tumor suppressor gene in these tumors is poorly considered. In this study mutation analysis of exon 19 and 39 of ATM gene and P53 accumulation were investigated by PCR-SSCP, sequencing, and flow cytometry . Four polymorphisms including D1853N, IVS 38-8 T?C, F858L, P872T we...
